What is the Off2Class Teaching Mixed Level ESL Classes Training Program?

The training program is an asynchronous series on effective teaching for mixed level classrooms. It is designed to help both new and experienced secondary ELD teachers.

After completing the program, teachers will be familiar with the challenges of teaching in mixed-level ESL classrooms, effective differentiation strategies for instruction, and how to utilize Off2Class resources to provide differentiated instruction.

What does Module 2 of the training program cover?

Module 2 explores:

  • How to choose a lesson for whole class instruction
  • How to use tiered questions
  • How to scaffold and extend practice activities
  • How to adjust task complexity

After completing this module, teachers will be able to use one lesson with differentiated activities to engage many levels at once.
