I love to teach students how to broaden their phrases and vocabulary in conversational English. Learning English from a textbook is a great starting point, but it’s not enough if you want to communicate fluently. If you know some basic terms, but struggle with understanding conversations and slang in articles, movies, and TV, I’d love to help you. This kind of language can help you bond more with foreign coworkers, and it can open the door for you to understand more English media. Everything is becoming more globalized, and the more you can understand and use this wonderful and complex language, the more empowered you’ll be!

An empathetic approach

To be honest, I was very shy when I was younger. It has taken me many years of practice to grow my communication skills, but I know that if I can do it, anyone can. If you’re an introvert and lack confidence speaking, I can really sympathize with how you feel. My lessons focus on grammar and verb tenses, and also on common phrases and English expressions. I think that the more language and expressions you know, the more you can communicate the real you — in English, or even in your native language! I want to help you become a more confident speaker.

What you can expect

In the first lesson, I want to get to know you and understand why you are studying English. Everyone has different goals. The more specific your goal is, the easier it will be to achieve it. But learning a skill is a two way street — I can teach you what I know, but it’s up to you to practice and spend time each day studying your craft. I know that if you show up 100% to each lesson, you will see results.

I’ve been an ESL teacher for about five years. Working for a teaching company in the past, I’m now starting my own English teaching business. Music is my passion. I write my own songs and play the piano. I want to divide my time between teaching English and doing more creative projects with my music.
