“You can never understand one language until you understand at least two.” Like you, I’ve learnt other languages, so I’ve taken YOUR journey and I know how it feels! Using that experience when I teach English, I’m sympathetic to the problems of pronunciation, comprehension, grammar and fluency. My 1:1 lessons are Constructed specifically to meet YOUR needs.

1. I recently helped an Italian businessman improve his fluency and confidence so that he could make sales calls and presentations in English, and…
2. I worked with a Chinese student who needed to focus on the speaking part of the IELTS test, in order to gain entry into university. My classes are based on the excellent Off2Class structure and are professional and stimulating, yet fun and enjoyable! You’ll see real progress!

What you can expect

Your next step is to book a no-obligation consultation with me. You’ll need internet access and a laptop PC with a camera. You’ll complete an online test and we’ll spend 30 minutes discussing the results and YOUR needs in detail. I’ll then propose a course of lessons to help achieve your English language goals, whether it’s a business need or preparing for IELTS or TOEFL.

I’m flexible on timing; you can take lessons with throughout most of the day. I’m based in England so can easily work with most part of the world. Each class lasts 1 hour and is followed by homework which I quickly review and return to you. Sometimes, with your agreement, I repeat the online test so you can see the progress you’ve made and we can decide where to focus lessons next.

About me

“Feedback is the breakfast of champions!” That’s one of my favourite sayings, because to improve at any skill you need constant feedback, and that’s the way I work, supporting and coaching you. I’m a native English speaker with a British Master’s degree and French Diplôme d’Ingénieur. I had over 30 years’ experience in international business before I took my Cambridge CELTA teaching certificate in English.

I’ve worked in sales, marketing, operations, finance, distribution, HR and acquisitions for companies big and small. And if you want it, I bring all that experience to lessons. But if that sounds too serious, please expect some fun and humour in my lessons! Life would be dull without it, wouldn’t it?
