Do you get frustrated that you can’t remember all the vocabulary that you knew yesterday?

My approach is very calm, patient and understanding. Through relaxed, interesting conversation, you are more likely to speak more confidently, consolidating your vocabulary and grammar.

My job is to encourage you to talk as much as possible about a variety of subjects. I love to see my students progressing and becoming more self-confident in all aspects of English.

What you can expect

.

When we meet in our first lesson, I’ll spend time getting to know a bit about you. We will set goals, you tell me what you want on your journey of learning English and then I’ll show you what to expect in a lesson.

We will discuss whether you would like homework or not and of course, how much homework. From the first lesson, it’s about an individual plan to cater for your needs and goals. If you are doing your IELTS, I will follow the plan to prepare you as best I can.

Each lesson will involve conversation, unless you request to focus on another aspect of English.

I am a qualified, experienced, passionate teacher from South Africa. Yes, South Africa has native English speakers and I would love to meet you.

I have my TEFL and IELTS certificates and I love teaching adults and children. I can help you in all areas of English. Listening is important and I’ll will encourage you to talk about all sorts of topics. I love reading, sport and nature and I’m very interested in current world events and the different cultures across the world. I would love to tell you about South Africa as well.
